PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AND ITS IMPORTANCE IN CHILDRENS LIFE

Children have to be active every day, Physical activity stimulates growth and leads to improved physical and emotional health and the importance of physical activity in children is stronger than any other medicinal treatment or medicinal follow-up. Medical researchers have observed that highly active children are less likely to suffer from high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer of the colon, obesity, and coronary heart disease later in life while children‟s who are having more interest in simple and general education are proven more attractive towards such health issues. It has been observed that exercise is also known to relieve stress as some children experience as much stress, depression, and anxiety as adults do. It is because of exercise which improves health,  a fit child is more likely to be well-rested and mentally sharp. Physical activity has been shown to improve a child‟s skill at arithmetic, reading, and memorization. But sport, not just exercise, gives a child more than just physical well-being, such activities contribute to a child‟s development both psychologically and socially. Observations of Sport psychologist Dr.Glyn Roberts emphasizes that sport is an important learning environment for children. “Sport can affect a child‟s development of self-esteem and self-worth,” explains Roberts. “It is also within the sport that peer status and peer acceptance are established and developed. A study conducted in the United States showed that high school boys and girls who take part in sports & games or high-intensity physical activities are showing very high & constant performance in academics also and it is the time for educationists of our state to apply such research outcomes in our state so that we can also be able to achieve positive results, while as the same study showed that high school boys would rather fail in class than be incompetent on the playing field because sport is important to children as by academics we can develop mental strength only but for gaining that strength we need to have fit & healthy body which is only possible by being active in sports or physical activities also being good at sports is a strong social asset. Young boys in particular use sports and games to measure themselves against their friends. Children who are competent at sports are more easily accepted by children of their own age, the primary goal of parents and coaches is to help children find the success in sport they need to make them feel valued and wanted. Every child can be successful at one sport or another but what is the need of hour that parents along with teachers should give them time to get adjusted in this modern era techniques and help them find the sports that are right for each child.

Everyone should involve themselves in sports activity even for a small-time all through the day because doing activities is just like maintaining the body cycle which has been created by Almighty Allah( Creator of this world). Sports are necessary because it brings physical and mental fitness to the person involved in this on regular basis. People who have a busy schedule in their life get tired very easily. As we all know that, living a relaxed and comfortable life we need a sound mind and a sound body. Education is very necessary to get name, fame and money. In the same way, getting a sound mind and body, everyone must involve in some type of physical activities for which sports is the best way.

Being involved in sports activities benefits a person in many ways. It does not provide only physical strength however it increases mental power too. Outdoor sports such as football, cricket, volleyball, hockey, running, etc helps in improving physical health and mental fitness. However, some indoor games and sports like brain games, chess, Sudoku, etc improves mental power and concentration level.

Sports are nice way to get involved in the physical activities which benefits a lot. Sports are given much importance in many countries as they know it‟s real benefits and need in the personal and professional life of a person. Sports are physical activities of much importance for any athlete or a professional sportsperson. It means a lot for them and their life. Sports have nice scope for the sportspersons nationally as well as internationally. In some countries, sports and games activities are arranged in the celebration of some events or festivals, for example; Olympic Games are organized to pay honor to the Olympiads of the ancient Greece.Games play an important part in life. Education is incomplete without games. Games  are necessary to keep the body fit and  trim. Moreover, they provide recreation. As a result, one feels smart and cheerful throughout the day. If one is cheerful and healthy, he or she is able to get the best out of life. A player really enjoys life. For him, life is  a  song and a beauty. On the other hand, an unhealthy man cannot enjoy life. We feel happier in a playground than we do in a class-room. While playing in the playground we feel happier because we forget the homework and the scolding of the teachers. Players are better friends. Games teach us the lesson of discipline, team-work, patience and punctuality. In the playground, the players obey the captain and abide by the rules of the games. Games also teach us that we should play a game for game‟s sake, not for victory or defeat.

However it is strange that even knowing the importance of sports & games we in Asian society still gave secondary view towards sports & games, while as in other part of world and mostly in European countries they take games & sports as primary importance which in response makes their life very successful. If we people also want to keep our life healthy then the only option apart from religious is games & sports. As it has been rightly said that “An athlete cannot run with money in his pockets, he must run with hope in his heart and dreams in his head” so the sports person is having not the target of „business in money‟ but he is having the target of „business in health‟. Every human being should come out in support of flourishing the games & sports & physical body movements so that a real outcome result will be achieved by being healthy and fit and it is not so difficult to achieve.
